Just try and make me eat my vegetables

I tried to post a really funny picture of Matthew here, but it didn't work. So you'll have to imagine getting to see a silly pic of Matty refusing to eat his veggies. He's sort of a picky eater, but knows what he wants. I'll post another picture of him eating an artichoke. He likes those very much. And olives. He'll take a piece of pizza and pick off the olives and pass on the rest. Welll, I better stop talking about food. I can't have any today. Well, at least until after the endoscopy is over. That's at 11:30 today. Anyone reading this can pray for me. Thanks. Hopefully we'll know what's wrong with me soon. Like they haven't seen enough of my body to finally figure it out! Grandma is doing better. She will be able to put weight on her leg again in about a week and might be able to go back to her apartment soon. Hopefully. She said it's like prison in the nursing home. I brought her a bowl of spaghetti the other day. She enjoyed it very much. She started eating it faster especially after I told her what lunch was scheduled to be delivered - meatloaf and potatoes - the usual over there. I tasted some of her lunch at the last visit and didn't blame her for not eating and for losing her appetite. How is it that I can't eat today and I am writing this blog about food. Better stop. I'm gettting hungry by the letter.

France, I will help you with the photo thing! Don't worry. Glad to hear your grandma is doing better. When you referred to the nursing home as a prision I could not help but think of Ben Stiller in Happy Gilmore! Glad to also hear that Matty embraces vegetarianism. See we aren't ALL WEIRD. I'll pray for you during your appointment. Take Care.

Marky - it's weird to call you that. Shouldn't you call your son Marky and you stick to Mark. Or are you going with Big and LIttle Marky? Please say you'll call him by his middle name... ok. Just be prepared to get confused when the phone rings and people ask for one of you and you don't know which one, don't you think that will get old?

Just for the record, Matty's not a vegetarian. He still eats meat. He does seem to like veggie burgers quite a bit and protein powder shakes - for the ice cream of course. But he also eats cold cut meats, chicken and meatballs and sausage sometimes. I'll miss the meatballs for sure since I just got them really good. I thought you still ate meat... Thanks for the prayers for the endoscopy. It wasn't so bad. At least I got sedated. Our associate pastor had to do it in Holland and he stayed awake for the whole thing and watched a video of his own stomach. Yuck. He freaked me out when he told me that's how it was. Then I realized- hey - this is America. We get drugs when we need them! I gotta tell him what he missed out on. He's from S. Africa- very cool guy. Ok. See ya. France

Magvou, don't be in denial. Any kid who is "excited" about vegetables and veggie burgers is bound to become a vegetarian! (JK) No we don't eat meat except for the occasional seafood and I do mean "occasional." (Like once a month). I don't think we'll ever go back.
After careful consideration and from the fact that there is yet to be a birth certificate, we are NOT going to name our kid Mark Jr. We can't get passed the whole big/little, young/old, jr./sr. thing. We are throwing around the idea of Bruce Markus Whitley. (BMW) Tell Chris b/c I know he'd love that! We are going to host a fake auction for Kel's BD Party where the highest bidder will get to name the kid. Wierd I know, but different! We'll keep u up to date.
BTW, why did your associate pastor go to Holland to have his endosocopy? Sounds like he likes pain or something. Creepy. Take Care

The pastor didn't go to Holland for the procedure. He was there as a missionary and had to have hit done there. So after having mine, I wrote him an email to say how ever so glad I am that I got to do mine in the U.S> He has yet to hear why - let's just say, sedation is my friend.

Sedation is everyone's friend. Thanks for straightening out the whole Holland procedure thing!--Marky
